Defence Health Kvarn is looking for a full-time (100%) doctor to join our team. We are looking for you who are a specialist in general medicine or have other relevant specialist competence. The overall mission of Defence Health is to support combat units with occupational health services, health and medical care for cadets and conscripts, as well as medical readiness during military exercises and operations.

The team includes a manager, deputy manager, doctors, district nurses, physiotherapists/ergonomists, healthcare administrators, health educators/fitness leaders, and psychologists. Collaboration with an occupational health engineer from other Defence Health units is occasionally relevant, and we have close cooperation with the conscription counselor.

Main Responsibilities

• Health and medical care with fitness assessments for conscripts and cadets, as well as occupational health services for employed personnel
• Preventive, treatment, and rehabilitative work in close collaboration within and outside the team
• Clinic work, education, and development together with the Defence Health team

Physical training is included in the duties.

Requirements for Employment

• Swedish medical license with specialist competence in general medicine or other relevant specialist competence
• Category B driver's license for manual transmission (driving is part of the job)

Other Information

This is a permanent full-time civil position with a six-month probationary period. We apply individual salary setting. Start date by agreement. The position is located at Defence Health Kvarn, but service at other Swedish Armed Forces health units may occur, as well as other official travel within and outside Sweden. Work during inconvenient hours and irregular schedules occur as we maintain daily medical care and medical readiness during training activities.

Information about the Swedish Armed Forces and the recruiting unit: Skaraborg Regiment, P 4, has operations from Älvdalen in the north to Remmene in the south. The leadership is based in Skövde, where the majority of conscript training takes place. The regiment's task is to recruit and train conscripts and personnel for two armored battalions, a heavy transport company, and a brigade reconnaissance company. P 4 is also responsible for a brigade staff that, in times of crisis and war, should lead large parts of the army's units.
