Åstugan is now looking for an engaged, empathetic, and caring assistant nurse (undersköterska) who wants to become part of our fantastic team!   • Provide support and help in the daily routine for our residents.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of activities that promote health and well-being.
  • Contribute to a safe and homely atmosphere.
  • Work in close collaboration with nurses and other staff to ensure the highest possible care quality.
  • The work is performed according to a fixed schedule including weekend duties and workplace meetings. The work may also involve working at another unit.

Who are you?

We are looking for you who are passionate about making a real difference in people's lives! As the ideal candidate for the assistant nurse position at Åstugan, you are a caring and engaged person with a great deal of empathy. You have a natural ability to build trust and establish relationships with both residents and colleagues.

  • You have a certified assistant nurse education, and documented experience in dementia care is a requirement.
  • You must be able to present the Swedish National Board of Health and Welfare's certificate for the protected professional title.
  • Experience working with low-affective interaction is an advantage.
  • You have good communication skills.
  • You are accustomed to working in a team and contributing to a positive work environment, but you can also work independently and take initiative.
  • You share our vision of providing our residents with the best possible care and support.
  • You are flexible and can adapt to different situations that may arise in the work environment.
  • You document in Life Care and contribute to creating implementation plans together with the resident and their next of kin.
  • Computer skills are required for the assignment, and you must master the Swedish language in both speech and writing.
  • A Category B driver's license and access to a personal car are required, as public transport is difficult.
  • You must be able to provide a certificate of no criminal record (belastningsregisterutdrag).

The role also involves

As an assistant nurse at Åstugan, you will play a central role in creating a safe and stimulating environment for our residents. Your work will include:

  • Providing personal care and support in daily life, which includes help with hygiene, dressing, and meals.
  • Actively participating in the planning and implementation of meaningful activities that promote social interaction and well-being.
  • Documenting and following up on implementation plans, and contributing to a positive and encouraging atmosphere that promotes joy of life.
  • Collaborating with colleagues and acting according to the routine of fixed care contact between residents, relatives, and other care staff.
