The Swedish Armed Forces and the Gotland Regiment need to strengthen our ability to host units consisting of both national and international military capabilities. Our partner countries within NATO are increasing their activity in the Baltic Sea region, and Gotland is located in a militarily strategic area.

About the Garrison Unit (GarnE)

We are a unit within the Gotland Regiment that supports the Commander of P 18 within Garrison Gotland. We contribute daily to increased military capability. The departments within the Garrison Unit are always involved in some form in military operations throughout the year.

Main Responsibilities

You support the Garrison Staff and department heads in matters concerning the development, planning, and follow-up of Garrison Gotland. You handle incoming documents and act as a coordinator towards various support functions when there is a need for the garrison's resources. You are also expected to coordinate various types of activities conducted at P 18. In your role as a Staff Administrator, your ability to build relationships plays an important role, as you are the contact point in various contexts. You are also part of the war-time unit within GarnE, stationed at the staff, and are expected to support other parts of the unit's operations.

Qualifications

• Upper secondary education or equivalent
• Documented experience in administration, finance, and procurement
• Customer service experience
• Good computer skills
• Driver's license category B

You are an individual with high integrity, social competence, and welcome diversity. You have a strong sense of responsibility, meaning you have the ability to work independently but have no problem collaborating with others, both within and outside the unit. You have a high level of security awareness in your work, handle your tasks with a good overall perspective, and make decisions in line with higher command's wishes. You are meticulous, have a structured work approach, and the ability to adjust pace when necessary.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Civil or military service/GMU
• Service within the Swedish Armed Forces
• Experience in a similar position
• Experience with LIFT and PRIO
• Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written

The Gotland Regiment was re-established on January 1, 2018, to strengthen the Swedish Armed Forces' presence on the strategically important island. Since 2020, conscripts are being trained again at P 18, and the unit will gradually be assigned more capabilities during the period leading up to 2030.
