The Quality and Development Unit consists of six development managers, a Medical Officer for Rehabilitation (MAR) and a Medical Responsible Nurse (MAS). In addition, there are two project managers. The unit is responsible for cross-administrative quality and development work. We have several representatives in national networks and we act as a link between the national and local levels. Our tasks are varied and cover the entire social administration.

Your responsibilities

As a Development Manager, you will become part of a team responsible for driving and developing the administration's quality work. You have a specific responsibility for the systematic quality follow-up within all operations, both in our own management and among private providers. The work includes quality visits to the operations, conducting surveys, focus groups, quality registers and various forms of user surveys. On behalf of the board and the administration leadership, you also conduct investigations and reviews, answer references and lead development projects. An important part of the role is to clearly communicate results to both the political level and the operations.

You follow national knowledge development and translate it into concrete proposals and knowledge bases for Region Gotland. In close dialogue and cooperation with the operations, you lead, coordinate and support the implementation of new methods and ways of working.

As a Development Manager, you participate in local forums as well as regional and, if necessary, national networks.

Who are you?

You have a degree in social work or are a licensed healthcare professional, or alternatively have another equivalent or relevant higher education. You have experience from social services or municipal healthcare as well as quality work. A category B driver's license is a requirement and you master Swedish in both speech and writing and have good computer skills.

It is meritorious if you have education in quality and development work and if you have experience of authority exercise or investigation work.

As a person, you are strategic, driven and initiative-taking. You easily create trusting relationships and collaborate with others to achieve set goals. Your analytical ability allows you to assess different situations and quickly adapt to new circumstances.

You work independently and systematically, have good communicative and pedagogical skills and a positive outlook. In addition, you express yourself well in both speech and writing.

In addition to formal requirements, we place great emphasis on the personal qualities considered significant for the role.
