The County Administrative Board works on behalf of the government to ensure that national goals are implemented in the county. Our broad operations cover environmental, nature, cultural heritage, business, urban planning, rural development, emergency preparedness, and total defense issues. In dialogue with other actors, we coordinate various interests and promote sustainable development of Gotland.

Around 150 people work here, and our head is County Governor Charlotte Petri Gornitzka.

Do you want to lead our AI initiative?

Generative AI is already changing how we work, learn, and develop operations. We are now looking for a project manager who wants to lead our work in exploring AI's possibilities together with the entire organization.

This is not a traditional IT project.

Responsibilities

We are looking for someone who is passionate about development, learning, and change. You do not need to be an AI expert – the most important thing is that you have the drive to get people engaged, try new things, and create future ways of working together.

About the assignment

This autumn, we will carry out a broad initiative where employees will learn more about AI, participate in practical AI labs, and contribute ideas on how the technology can create value in operations.

As project manager, you are responsible for planning, coordinating, and driving the work from start to finish. You will work closely with management, leaders, AI ambassadors, and employees throughout the organization.

Your assignment:

• Plan and coordinate project activities.
• Lead and support AI ambassadors.
• Coordinate training and workshops.
• Drive internal communication and engagement.
• Follow up on results and gather lessons learned.
• Report to the steering group and management.
• Produce a final report and recommendations.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who:

• Has experience driving development or change initiatives.
• Is skilled at creating engagement.
• Has good communication skills.
• Is structured and accustomed to managing multiple activities.
• Is curious about AI, digitalization, and future ways of working.

Conditions

Scope:

Fixed-term assignment from August/September until the end of the year.

Scope of approximately 50–100 percent, depending on prerequisites.

As the position is security-classified, a security clearance and background check will be conducted upon employment.
