RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to contribute to how people choose to travel in Växjö? We are looking for you who want to develop sustainable travel initiatives and strengthen the municipality's work within climate, public health, and attractive urban development.

Växjö is a municipality with high ambitions in sustainable development, climate, and living environment. Here, we work actively to reduce climate impact, strengthen opportunities for sustainable travel, and develop attractive and safe environments for residents and visitors.

Operations and Maintenance is a department within the Urban Development Administration.

As a Mobility Coordinator, you work with so-called "soft measures" within transport and traffic, focusing on behavioral influence, communication, and collaboration. The role is both strategic and operational and is a key part of achieving the municipality's goals of reduced car dependency, increased share of walking, cycling, and public transport trips, as well as more efficient use of the transport system.

You are responsible for planning, driving, and following up on initiatives and projects within Mobility Management, for example:

• Cycling-promoting initiatives and projects that strengthen Växjö as a cycling city.
• Work with green travel plans and sustainable commuting for the municipality's operations and workplaces.
• Information and campaign work to influence travel habits.
• Dialogue and collaboration with operations, residents, and external actors.

In this role, you are a clear champion for these issues, both internally and externally. You work closely with colleagues within traffic, urban planning, environment, and communication and contribute to planning processes related to urban development and mobility.

The work also involves:

• Conducting and analyzing travel habit surveys.
• Preparing materials for the follow-up and development of mobility initiatives.
• Contributing to strategic issues related to climate goals and sustainable mobility.
• Supporting the work with decision-making materials within the mobility area.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for you who have relevant education and experience in the field. You have an academic education, for example, in urban planning, traffic planning, environment, sustainable development, or communication.

You have experience working in project form and are accustomed to planning, executing, and following up on projects, including reporting and economics. You have good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish and feel confident communicating both internally and externally.

We would like you to have experience working with:

• Sustainable travel or Mobility Management.
• Behavioral influence initiatives and communication work.
• Survey work or analysis of travel habits.
• Collaboration in complex organizations.

As a person, you are structured and proactive. You drive your work independently but thrive in collaboration with others and are used to creating engagement in your issues. You are communicative, pedagogical, and have a strong commitment to sustainability and societal issues.
