About the School

University college education (Yrkeshögskola) is a post-secondary form of education that combines theory and practice to meet the needs of the labor market. The programs are developed in collaboration with industries and give students specialized competence for specific professional roles. With a strong connection to business life, the university college ensures that students are ready for working life directly after graduation.

Your Responsibilities

In preparation for the autumn term, we are looking for an educator for courses included in the training for future relining technicians. The assignment includes preparatory work (preparation of course material, tasks, and exams), teaching, and post-work (grading and assessment). There are 12 hours of teaching time per week.

There is preferably an opportunity to teach all courses, but it may also be relevant for you who want to teach individual courses. We are looking for educators for the following courses during the following periods:

• Methods for Relining – Week 42-47, 2026
• Basic Inspection Technology – Week 3-4, 2027
• Relining Technology – Week 48-2, 2027
• Flushing and Cleaning Technology – Week 5-6, 2027

Teaching takes place remotely, but physical meetings may occur on a few occasions during the course at one of the educational locations: Umeå, Boden, or Gävle.

Your Profile

To be considered, you must have a clear connection to the professional role that the education targets and possess good pedagogical skills. For example, you may have good experience from the professional role of a relining technician or have other equivalent practical experience from the industry combined with good pedagogical skills. We welcome applicants with different backgrounds and experience.

To succeed in the assignment, you need to possess good social and communicative skills. It is a great advantage if you have previously taught in adult education or have other pedagogical experience, but it is not a requirement.

In an educational assignment through us at the university college, you are employed as a consultant by us and hired out to the school. There is also an opportunity for you who have your own company to invoice as a sub-consultant.
