Are you passionate about creating a safe, developmental, and meaningful everyday life for children? Then you could be our new teacher in the after-school program!
Who are we?
Ljuraskolan is centrally located in Norrköping, within walking distance to both forest and city center, and close to Centralbadet and Vasaparken. Approximately 65 employees work at our school, divided between primary school and adapted primary school, with two principals.
Here, students from preschool class to grade 6 are divided into two parallel classes, as well as five classes belonging to the adapted primary school. We have three after-school program departments in the primary school and two in the adapted primary school.
All staff work according to a common vision where, through a professional approach, we focus on well-being and safety, successful teaching, and joyful learning.
It is important that the school has safe, flexible learning environments where everyone can feel a sense of belonging and develop based on their own prerequisites. Together, we shape a safe and joyful school day with the students' best interests at the forefront.
Your responsibilities
In the role of teacher in the after-school program, you, together with colleagues, are responsible for the teaching in the after-school program. You plan, implement, and evaluate the after-school program's activities based on current regulatory documents and the unit's goals.
At Ljuraskolan, we strive for a holistic view and see the after-school program as an important part of the school and the student's development. Extra focus will be placed on language and communication as we participate in the Swedish National Agency for Education's "Language Initiative in After-School Programs".
During school hours, you collaborate with teachers and after-school staff regarding the setup and implementation of lessons, and in the afternoons, you work at our after-school program. Your assignment includes supporting students' knowledge-based and social development, where you advocate for all students' right to participation in an equal, high-quality education.
You actively participate in the school's and work team's joint tasks and contribute with your competence, ideas, and previous experience, while also engaging with and being curious about collegial learning within the school form. You also have contact with external actors such as habilitation services, child and adolescent psychiatry, and others.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in the after-school program, and it is meritorious if you have experience working in an after-school program. You are well-versed in the school's regulatory documents and have good knowledge of NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders).
To succeed in the assignment, we see that you have good pedagogical skills where you adapt your interaction based on the individual and the situation. You are secure and receptive in collaboration with others and skilled at building trusting relationships with both students and guardians as well as colleagues.
You have a positive approach and the ability to motivate and inspire our students to achieve their goals. You work solution-focused and low-affectively, show endurance, and continue to work towards set goals even when you encounter obstacles.
You are clear in your leadership role, flexible in your working method, and have a genuine interest in the students' learning based on their different prerequisites.
The position requires that you can communicate well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
