Welcome to Spängerskolan, a single-track school for grades F-9 with approximately 260 students, located in the beautiful nature of Arkelstorp.

Through successful teaching, guided by the vision "Learning for life – together it is a given," we work for student learning and good goal fulfillment. Student health services should begin in the classroom. The Pedagogical Development Group, led by the principals, directs development work at the school in close collaboration with the student health team, consisting of a special needs educator, special teacher, counselor, school nurse, and principals. The school doctor and school psychologist are also part of our team.

Our long-term focus is on learning environments that promote individual learning within the group, study strategies, collaboration with homes, interactions, and good relationships.

Your role with us

You will teach the subjects you are qualified to teach. As a teacher with us, you stimulate students to learn and take personal responsibility. With commitment and enthusiasm, you create a safe learning environment built on mutual respect and cooperation, through good leadership both inside and outside the classroom.

Teaching is designed based on the goals of the curriculum, where planning, preparation, implementation, and evaluation are important pillars. You have positive and high expectations for the students and adapt teaching to each student's level, focusing on the best interests of the student.

Through dialogue, you build good relationships characterized by mutual respect and a trusting approach. In your role, you stay up-to-date with events in the outside world and the daily lives of young people. The use of alternative learning tools and documentation is a natural part of your work. You systematically reflect on practical work and, together with colleagues, drive development work in the work group and at the school. You share responsibility for both your own and the group's planning and further development.

New teachers are supported by a mentor for the best guidance. Unqualified teachers may conduct teaching but do not have responsibility for grading, which requires a certified teacher.

Who are we looking for?

We are primarily looking for you with a teaching license and qualifications to teach grades 4-6 in mathematics and Swedish. We would also like you to have qualifications in English, social studies/religious education (SO), or natural sciences (NO) within the scope of your license. Secondly, we are looking for you who have subject knowledge at the university level in the above-mentioned subjects. It is an advantage if you have pedagogical education at the university level.

You have experience working as a teacher or in conducting education within primary school, preferably with young people aged 10-13. You have a good ability to teach children in need of special support and to support students in handling conflicts.

You adapt teaching based on each student's prerequisites. Your lessons are characterized by clear expectations, peace and quiet, and a desire to learn. You have commitment, enthusiasm, and a genuine interest in the school world and how it is affected by the outside world.

A success factor is your ability to create trusting relationships both inside and outside school. You are a secure pedagogical leader who critically analyzes your own and the work group's methods for continuous development.

You use digital technology in teaching as well as a tool for information, planning, communication, and reporting. You organize and structure your work based on stated goals.

As a person, you are communicative, receptive, and adhere to the ethical principles for teachers. You have a talent for analyzing and documenting students' abilities and knowledge.

To allow us to assess your application, you must attach your degree certificate and teaching license. If no qualified certified teachers are available, you as an unqualified person may be employed for a fixed term according to the Education Act. According to Chapter 2, Sections 31-33 of the Education Act, a extract from the police record is required for employment.
