We are now looking for a Strategic Buyer for a company that develops and produces advanced unmanned helicopter systems for international markets.

This is an assignment for you who want to combine business acumen, supplier development, and technical interest in a product-oriented environment where you collaborate closely with development, production, quality, and project management.

About the Role

As a Strategic Buyer, you are responsible for a purchasing segment related to complex technical systems and components. You will have a broad role where you work both operationally and strategically throughout the entire purchasing chain – from supplier dialogue and tendering to long-term supply strategy and risk management.

You will become an important part of the purchasing organization and contribute to ensuring a robust and competitive supplier base in a company with high quality requirements and an international profile.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for purchasing technical systems and components within your segment
• Drive and develop long-term relationships with strategically important suppliers
• Lead tenders and conduct contract negotiations
• Ensure delivery performance based on forecasts, production plans, and customer commitments
• Develop and implement purchasing and supplier strategies
• Work with cost optimization and value-creating initiatives
• Analyze the supplier market and identify new suppliers
• Monitor supplier performance regarding quality, cost, and delivery precision
• Identify and manage supplier and supply risks
• Collaborate closely with development, production, quality, and project management

We are looking for you who

Have a good understanding of purchasing processes and thrive in a role where you combine structure, analysis, and relationship building. You are business-minded, communicative, and have an interest in technology and complex products.

We welcome both those who are relatively early in their purchasing career and those who have built up more experience. The most important thing is that you have a solid foundation in purchasing or logistics and a desire to develop in a strategic role.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Relevant vocational college or university education in purchasing, logistics, or a related field
• At least 1 year of experience in purchasing, operational purchasing work, or logistics
• Experience working in ERP systems
• Very good knowledge of English, both spoken and written

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience from the aviation industry
• Experience from the defense sector
• Experience in purchasing technical systems or components
• Experience from production-oriented operations
