ABOUT THE JOB

We are now looking for a student assistant for Hedlundaskolan, placed in the younger age groups, subject to necessary decisions.

Hedlundaskolan is a small F-6 school with approximately 60 students and 8 staff members. The school is located in the Hedlunda area, about 7 kilometers outside central Lycksele along the Ume River. The school has a lovely playground with close access to forests and nature. It is also close to a hockey rink, football field, and a lit jogging track.

As a student assistant, you are a key person for students who need special support in their school day, and you play an important role in supporting and promoting learning and well-being among our students. Your task is to create good conditions for students' development and learning, as well as to provide security and structure in daily life. You work closely with our teachers and function as a resource in the classroom while providing individual support to individual students. You work to create a positive and safe atmosphere in both the classroom and on the playground, with the goal of achieving increased independence for the student and a reduced need for support from you as a student assistant. In collaboration with other staff at the school, you work to create the best conditions for students, guardians, and colleagues to thrive and feel safe in the school's activities. The assignment also includes work at the school's after-school center.

We are looking for you who are educated as a social pedagogue or have equivalent education/experience that the employer considers comparable. Knowledge of neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPD) and/or knowledge of type 1 diabetes is an advantage.
