The Preschool and Primary School Administration is one of Varberg Municipality's largest departments, with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of operation – preschool, primary school, and child/student health services – we are here for children and students. Together, we shape the future.

Currently, the construction of the new and large Bosgårdsskolan is underway, which will unite grades F–9 in Tvååker. The new school is planned to open for the 2028/2029 academic year. After an initial period at Centralskolan, the positions will move to the modern and nearby Bosgårdsskolan. We look forward to this exciting development with enthusiasm!

Job Description

The workplace will be at Centralskolan in Tvååker, and your assignment will be as a mentor for Grade 1. During the upcoming academic year, there will be three Grade 1 classes, two preschool classes, and an after-school center at Centralskolan.

As a teacher with us, you play a central role in creating a safe, developmental, and motivating environment where we together create the best possible conditions for learning. By planning, implementing, and following up on your teaching, you provide students with the prerequisites to grow based on their unique needs and goals.

Main responsibilities:

• Teaching in grades F-3 in Swedish and Mathematics.
• Plan, lead, and evaluate teaching based on governing documents and chosen didactic strategies.
• Meet each student at their level of knowledge progression and strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-esteem through professional leadership.
• Develop stimulating learning environments that encourage learning, participation, and student influence.
• Promote a holistic view of the student's school day through close collaboration with colleagues and guardians.
• Actively participate in the school's systematic quality work and contribute to a formative approach in pedagogical daily life.

Qualifications

You are skilled at building relationships and creating trusting contacts with both students and guardians. You have a good feel for the group, are flexible, possess didactic ability, and adapt your methods based on students' different needs, knowledge progression, and daily mood.

We are looking for you who:

• Have teacher certification with eligibility for teaching Swedish and Mathematics for grades 1-3 or grades 1-6.
• Have the ability to base your teaching on proven experience and scientific grounds.
• Demonstrate skill in planning and systematically following up on operations based on given frameworks.
• Have good assessment skills to follow up on students' development and provide constructive feedback.
• Possess clear planning skills to structure lessons and work areas.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-08-10. Start date according to agreement.
