The Preschool and Primary School Administration is one of Varberg Municipality's largest administrations with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of operation – preschool, primary school, and child and student health services – we are here for children and students. Together, we shape the future.

Vidhögeskolan is located in Veddige, approximately 2 miles northeast of the central town of Varberg. The school accommodates 650 students in grades F-9. The school offers a varied outdoor environment and proximity to natural areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a teacher with us, you play a central role in creating a safe, developmental, and motivating environment where we together create the best possible conditions for learning. By planning, implementing, and following up on your teaching, you provide students with the prerequisites to grow based on their unique needs and goals.

Main responsibilities:

• Teaching in Grade 4 in the subjects Mathematics (MA) and Natural Sciences (NO), as well as resource time.
• Plan, lead, and evaluate teaching based on governing documents and selected didactic strategies.
• Meet each student in their knowledge progression and strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-confidence through professional leadership.
• Develop stimulating learning environments that encourage learning, participation, and student influence.
• Promote a holistic view of the student's school day through close collaboration with colleagues and guardians.
• Participate actively in the school's systematic quality work and contribute to a formative approach in pedagogical daily life.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a secure pedagogical leader who provides guidance with warmth and clarity, creating the structure required for a safe learning environment. Collaboration with colleagues is a prerequisite for success for you; you collaborate without hierarchy to develop the operation together with others.

You are skilled at building relationships and creating trusting contacts with both students and guardians. You have a good feel for the group, are flexible, possess didactic ability, and adapt your methods based on students' different needs, knowledge progression, and daily condition.

We are looking for someone who:

• Has teacher certification with eligibility for teaching Mathematics and Natural Sciences in grades 4-6.
• Has the ability to base your teaching on proven experience and scientific foundation.
• Demonstrates skill in planning and systematically following up on operations based on given frameworks.
• Has good assessment ability to follow up on students' development and give constructive feedback.
• Has clear planning ability to structure lessons and work areas.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Permanent employment.
Duration: Permanent, start date: 2026-08-10. Start date according to agreement.
