Your Role

An experienced System Safety Engineer who sees the big picture while also being able to dive deep into the details, a team member who is also ready to take responsibility and lead.

The section's mission is to ensure in a business-like manner that our products are safe to handle, while being fit for purpose and competitive from a business perspective.

As a System Safety Engineer with us, you are involved throughout the entire product development cycle to ensure system safety properties both during product development and for the delivered product. You work in close collaboration with other development engineers to ensure that the product is system-safe from the start – safety is not something you paint on afterwards.

We believe you are interested in diving deep into how the systems work, while also appreciating standards, formal processes, and careful documentation as pleasant companions in your daily work. In your daily routine, you will work on several different projects while being part of a knowledgeable system safety team, which means you will have excellent conditions to quickly get up to speed with the work.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who have several years of experience in system safety and are ready to contribute your expertise from day one. We believe you have been around long enough to have a good feel for when something is "good enough" and it is time to take the next step in the development process. You should have experience working with and based on quality processes that regulate the work. Experience with and willingness to take technical leadership roles is a plus.

One of the most important things for the position is that you have a combination of strong personal drive, the ability to communicate and collaborate with other people, and a broad technical interest.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the current security clearance regulations. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for specific citizenship.
