We are looking for a Teaching Assistant at Väring School in Skövde

In this role, you will become part of the Sector for Children and Education. Here, the development of children and young people is our focus. We provide education from preschool to upper secondary school, striving for a holistic pedagogical approach from ages 1 to 20. You see digital tools as a natural part of your daily work. Job Responsibilities

As a teaching assistant, you are responsible for, together with colleagues, implementing and following up on pedagogical activities based on steering documents and the students' needs. You create a safe and stimulating environment where students have the opportunity to develop social, creative, and practical skills. The role includes organizing activities both indoors and outdoors, as well as adapting activities based on different ages and prerequisites.

You collaborate closely with colleagues in the work team and need to find flexible solutions regarding staffing together with your colleagues. The work also involves building good relationships with students and guardians, as well as contributing to the school's work on values.

The position also involves covering for absences. This may mean stepping in to teach in a class, but also covering when another resource is absent.

Qualifications

Teaching assistant or other pedagogical education or experience. You are a secure adult with good leadership skills who can offer both support and encouragement as well as set boundaries. You work with high expectations and see good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians as the natural starting point for your work.

Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3-6 months, Start date: 2026-08-17.

To begin working in preschool, school leisure centers, and other pedagogical activities, you are required to show an extract from your criminal record. The extract is valid for one year and can be ordered from the Swedish Police Authority www.polisen.se (https://www.polisen.se).

Anyone who has not shown an extract from the criminal record may not be employed, engaged, or received in the activity according to current legal requirements.
