Ånä School is located in a historic building that has been renovated and adapted to function as a modern school for the approximately 550 students in grades F-6. We are close to Redbergsplatsen, which offers good public transport connections, and there is a park just next to the school. Job Responsibilities

In the role of School Support Pedagogue, you will contribute in-depth competence regarding the needs of the students and the operations, while supporting colleagues in methodology and interaction.

As a School Support Pedagogue, you will also support the teacher in adapting, making accessible, and contributing to the teaching throughout the school day. This may involve practically preparing lessons, facilitating individual lesson moments, and providing support in social situations. You will act as a link between guardians and school health professionals, as well as between teachers and teaching assistants, communicating based on the student's needs.

The work is primarily conducted in a Special Education Group (SU-group), which means you will meet students with extensive needs for support in their knowledge development, social development, and school attendance. The role places high demands on pedagogical competence, a low-affective approach to interaction, and a good ability to create structure, predictability, and safe learning environments.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have post-secondary education with a focus on pedagogy, for example, pedagogical vocational packages (teacher assistant education or equivalent at a folk high school or university college), activating pedagogue, social pedagogue, or support pedagogue.

We also want you to:

• be well-versed in the steering documents for compulsory school.
• have knowledge of, for example, Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC), Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NPF), as well as other factors that may affect the student's learning and well-being.
• have knowledge and experience of digital documentation.
• have experience and good ability to lead adults.
• have the ability to meet students with different needs.

Personal Qualifications

To succeed in your assignment, it is important that you have a good ability to apply your competence to ensure learning takes place, both among students and colleagues. With your in-depth knowledge of the students' needs and the challenges of the operation, you contribute a holistic perspective.

You have good communicative skills to explain problems and information to different recipients and from different perspectives. You encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement. You keep yourself updated through environmental scanning and you regularly reflect on what needs to be developed in your operation.

The work also requires a high degree of teamwork, flexibility, and a professional attitude where relationship-building and an inclusive perspective are central parts of the assignment.
