We are now looking for an engaged teacher in wood and metal crafts!

Together with the other educators in the work team, you are responsible for creating and developing a safe and secure environment that attracts and challenges students to activity, learning, and responsibility. You want to drive pedagogical development and use current research in your work. You plan and follow up on teaching, analyze, and assess results. You treat children and parents with respect and develop good learning environments for the students. You inspire and engage students while maintaining high expectations for them.

Qualifications

We are looking for a certified teacher with the qualifications to teach wood and metal crafts. It is a requirement that you have good knowledge of how teaching in wood and metal crafts is planned, conducted, and adapted to promote an inclusive learning environment. Additional pedagogical education and experience teaching grades 2–6 are meritorious.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about your subject, wood and metal crafts. You have a strong interest in developing your teaching within the subject and work towards students completing their studies. Your teaching is based on current curricula, while motivation and joy are a red thread throughout your teaching. You are a teacher who has the ability to build good relationships with students. You have good structure in your work and the ability to view your teaching from a school-wide perspective: how can your teaching in wood and metal crafts contribute to students becoming academically stronger in other subjects, for example, by working from a language-developing approach?

Björndammen School is a grades F–6 school with approximately 240 students and good transportation links to Partille Center and Gothenburg.
