At Långedragsskolan, we are currently looking for a music teacher. The position is permanent and part-time at 40%.

Långedragsskolan is located in a coastal environment with great opportunities for rich nature experiences. The school is a parallel school with approximately 200 students from preschool class to year 6. All staff work in close collaboration to develop and support the students in their learning process. The staff works in teams to develop students' self-esteem, creativity, curiosity, and desire to learn. In the autumn of 2021, the school moved to new premises at Patrullgatan 13.

Långedragsskolan is part of a school area together with Hagenskolan and Nya Varvets skola. Our school area consists of three F-6 schools, flexible operations, adapted primary school, and a unit with Horse-Assisted Interventions for students with long-term problematic school absenteeism. We have a total of 900 students and 90 staff members. The schools have a comparable student base, and the students achieve good results. All schools have extremely engaged and competent staff. There is an overarching principal for the school area as well as four deputy principals.

All schools work with the PALS model, which focuses on promoting and preventing safety and study environment issues in schools. This aims to create a shared vision that encourages positive behavior in a school environment with a focus on the relationship/interaction between school staff and students.

Responsibilities

As a teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching at both group and individual levels. Adjustments at the group level are a natural part of your teaching, as are various aids to ensure accessibility and create equity in your teaching. You work actively for accessible learning environments at the group level and can also identify the need for adjustments at the individual level. You have the ability to create conditions for learning.

To give you, as a newly graduated teacher, the best possible start in your career, you will participate in the Basic Education Administration's Teacher Academy introduction program for newly graduated teachers. The introduction provides you with a network of other newly graduated teachers and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the qualification to teach music in years 4-6. You are well familiar with the school's governing documents and have a good ability to individualize and vary teaching to create a desire for learning.

• Have a good approach and are clear in your communication with students, parents, and colleagues.
