About the Position

In your role as a Special Educational Needs Teacher (Speciallärare), you provide support and collaborate closely with your colleagues. The role also includes your own planning, teaching, and assessment, both within subjects and subject areas, as well as mentoring. You are well-versed in the school's governing documents and work based on the student's needs and interests, individually as well as together with your colleagues. Your teaching is creative and aims to find strategies to strengthen your students, both academically and in their personal development.

It is important to you to create conditions for good social interactions between students. In your professional role, you are also expected to collaborate with other professional groups and guardians, always with the student's best interest in focus.

Are you the one we are looking for?

We are looking for you who are a licensed teacher with a degree in Special Education, specializing in developmental disabilities. You have experience working in adapted schools, knowledge about students with Intellectual Disabilities (ID) and Neurodevelopmental Disorders (NDD), as well as the pedagogical tools needed to support them. You should be well-versed in augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), such as PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System), and we see sign language skills as a merit. You are accustomed to using assistive technology and have worked with making lesson content accessible, for example, using visual supports.

We are looking for you who are equipped with good social competence and collaboration skills. You are solution-oriented and sensitive to the students' individual prerequisites. It is required that you are calm and pedagogical, with great patience and a good ability to create security for each student. Great importance is attached to personal suitability.

A teacher with a foundation in mathematics and natural sciences is desirable.

You are accustomed to handling documentation via computer.

About the Employment

Salary range: 37,400 – 48,500 SEK. The salary is influenced by experience and competence.

Interviews will take place on July 13th.

Start date: November 8, 2026, or by agreement.
