The Staffing Pool at Krokom Municipality currently consists of nine permanent assistant nurses and 16 permanent childcare assistants, approximately 300 hourly temporary staff, and administrative personnel. The administration is located in central Krokom.

The Staffing Pool is part of the Social Services Administration, which comprises 600 employees with a broad range of tasks. The administration is divided into five operational areas and is located throughout the municipality. Here, we are responsible for providing care and support, assistance and service, as well as health and medical care to the municipality's citizens who need it, at all stages of life.

The Staffing Pool is now facing a reorganization and restart where we will become a central scheduling and staffing unit. To prepare for this change, we need to expand our team with a completely new position: Scheduling Specialist.

A day as a Scheduling Specialist at the Staffing Pool

We are facing a change in how we handle schedules and needs-based staffing. In this change, you as a Scheduling Specialist will be one of the key figures. The central scheduling and staffing unit will serve as a support function to several operations within the Social Services Administration (Home Care, LSS, and SÄBO).

You will work in close dialogue with the unit managers of the various operations regarding scheduling, based on both short- and long-term needs as well as laws and agreements. You will work together with staffing controllers, staffing planners, and other support functions.

As a Scheduling Specialist, you will monitor schedules based on sustainability, needs, and economy. You will be part of a team with staffing controllers and staffing planners where you will quality-assure the scheduling process, provide improvement suggestions, and maintain a helicopter view. The role includes introducing managers and schedulers to the systems TimeCare and Heroma. It is also important that you share improvement suggestions and identify development opportunities.

Your Competence

Requirements:

• You have experience working with 24/7 scheduled staffing/scheduling and have a good understanding of labor laws and collective agreements.
• The position requires good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
• Valid driver's license for passenger car.

Merits:

• We prefer that you have experience as a scheduler where you have worked with joint planning and development.
• That you have adequate education for the assignment.
• It is positive if you have previous knowledge and experience from municipal or other public operations.

You motivate and describe changes pedagogically and handle criticism of change in a constructive manner. You are brave, have great patience, and are skilled at coordinating and communicating.
