Job Description
You, as the applicant, should be interested in creating a pedagogical environment that challenges and stimulates students' development and learning in Home and Consumer Studies for grades 6–9. The pedagogical activities are based on each student's prerequisites and rely on teaching designed in accordance with the goals of the curriculum.
As a pedagogue, you enhance the students' school day by inspiring, organizing, and conducting structured teaching, while also supporting the students' social development. You support the students and the school in becoming a safe, stimulating, and educational environment during the school day.
You are part of a work team, and together with the local student health care and school management, you develop a stimulating, pleasant, and developmental activity characterized by security and study peace.
We work with relationship-building leadership in the classroom, based on literature, research, and experience. An exciting development process is underway with the aim of educators and other staff supporting each other in the development of a good school.
We expect you to have a strong commitment to driving and developing digital and developmental methods. In teaching, we work with different types of learning and structures that support students' collaboration.
You systematically reflect on practical work, individually and together with others, while keeping up to date with new research, events in the world around us, and identifying development opportunities within the activity.
The position also includes class mentoring duties.
Qualifications
- Teacher certification with eligibility and experience teaching Home and Consumer Studies in grades 6–9.
Employment type: Permanent position.
Duration: Start date: 2026-08-10.
There is an opportunity to combine the work with being a part-time firefighter. Assessment is made based on the needs of the activity.
The workplace is Hasslarödsskolan in Osby Municipality.
