Your Workplace
In August 2025, Härryda Municipality will launch Mosslyckeskolan, a resource school for students with autism and/or speech disorders. Mosslyckeskolan offers education in a small-scale setting. Students come from across the municipality, and when the school is fully developed, it will accommodate 25 students in grades 4–9.
The facilities are conveniently located in Landvetter, right next to Önnerödsskolan. The schoolyard invites play, activity, and quiet socializing. The school consists of a large building with several entrances and various rooms adapted to our operational needs. We have high competence among both teachers and student health staff.
Do you want to make a real difference in students' daily lives, learning, and well-being? At Mosslyckeskolan, we are now looking for a secure and relationship-building treatment pedagogue who wants to work closely with students and colleagues in a school operation where the student's needs are at the center.
Your Role
As a resource pedagogue at Mosslyckeskolan, you work close to the students and the operation throughout the school day – in the classroom, during breaks, and at the after-school center. You follow the students through the day and provide adapted support in teaching situations, social contexts, and daily routines. The work always starts from the student's strengths and needs.
A central part of the role is to develop and support the students' communication based on each student's prerequisites. You use clear pedagogy, such as visual aids and schedules. You meet the students with a professional, low-affective approach, creating calm, predictability, and security.
You are part of a cohesive team consisting of teachers, special education teachers, and after-school pedagogues. Together, you plan, follow up, and develop learning environments at both individual and group levels. In your role, you contribute your holistic view of the students' needs, document according to school routines, and participate in team meetings and contacts with guardians. The position includes some work at the after-school center with a rotating schedule, where you may be responsible for both opening and closing duties.
Requirements for the Position
You are genuinely curious about interpersonal encounters and build professional relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You work with a low-affective, solution-focused, and creative approach. You stay ahead by analyzing needs, preventing challenging situations, and adapting and clarifying the learning environment in a compensatory manner.
You thrive working independently in daily life but also appreciate supervision and close collaboration within a team. You follow established routines to create structure and security.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Post-secondary education as a treatment pedagogue/social pedagogue (vocational higher education/university) or equivalent relevant post-secondary education in behavioral science or special education.
- At least 1–2 years of documented experience working with children/students with neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., autism, ADHD, speech disorders).
- Ability to apply clear pedagogy: visual aids, visual schedules, PECS/MAK (TAKK/AKK).
- Practical experience with low-affective interaction and preventing/managing problematic behaviors.
- Proven collaboration skills and secure, professional communication with students, guardians, and colleagues.
- Merits: experience with the school's student health team (EHT), absence prevention, and social skills training.
To be employed, a certificate of good conduct (extract from the Police Register) must be presented. An extract from the suspicion register may also be required depending on the position.
