The Preschool and Primary School Administration is one of Varberg Municipality's largest administrations with nearly 2,200 employees. Within our areas of operation – preschool, primary school, and child and student health services – we are here for children and students. Together, we shape the future.

Ankarskolan and Spannarps School share a common catchment area in the southwestern part of Varberg Municipality.

RESPONSIBILITIES

You will work in a substitute pool as either a substitute class teacher or a substitute after-school center teacher at Spannarps School. You may teach students in grades Pre-K to 3 in both theoretical and practical subjects, as well as work at the after-school center. You may be responsible for planning activities individually and in collaboration with others.

Motivating and inspiring students is your greatest driving force. As an after-school center teacher with us, you play a central role in creating a safe, developmental, and motivating environment for the students where we create the best possible conditions for learning. Together with your colleagues, you shape a relational leadership style where the quality of teaching is in focus. By planning, implementing, and following up on your varied teaching, you give students the opportunity to develop both socially and academically. You work to strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-esteem through play, creation, and movement.

QUALIFICATIONS

You need to be flexible and thrive in collaboration with colleagues, actively contributing to the development of the operations by planning and following up on teaching together. You have good structure in your work and can adapt teaching based on the students' needs and the school's goals. Together, we are responsible for creating a sustainable work environment where both students and staff feel good, can grow, and develop. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.

To succeed in the role, you have:

  • Licens as an after-school center teacher
  • A holistic view of learning and teaching where you see the opportunities in supporting students' development throughout the entire school day.
  • Good assessment skills to follow up on students' development and provide constructive feedback.
  • Good collaboration skills and a relationship-building approach.

Salary: Monthly salary.
Employment type: Fixed-term employment.
Duration: 3-6 months, start date: 2026-08-17. Start date by agreement, end date: 2026-12-18.

Interviews and recruitment may take place during the application period.

The position involves varying working hours based on needs and may involve working five days a week. Our operations are open Monday to Friday between 06:15 and 18:30. Your employment type may be Appendix D, with a set-up time of 45 minutes.
