Uddevalla Adult Education offers Vocational Higher Education (YH) programs tailored to the needs of the labor market. We also offer commissioned courses.
Do you want to help shape the gastronomic leaders of the future? We are looking for an engaged teacher and education manager who wants to drive and develop our YH program in gastronomic leadership. The role combines teaching, pedagogical responsibility, and close collaboration with the industry.

Responsibilities
Your main tasks will include:
- Planning and leading the education according to the YH regulations
- Teaching and supervising adult students at the vocational higher education level within gastronomy, leadership, and business development. Teaching takes place digitally with staff on-site in our premises and students studying remotely
- Collaborate with the industry to ensure relevance and quality
- Quality work and reporting to MYH (The Swedish Council for Higher Education)
- Develop the education in line with the industry's needs and trends

Who we are looking for
As a teacher and education manager, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and ensuring the quality of the education. You teach within areas such as gastronomy, leadership, sustainability, economics, and business development, while simultaneously leading the overall education – from course planning to industry contacts.
You will become a key person for both students and working life, and you will work in close dialogue with the management group and collaboration partners.
We are looking for you who are proactive, flexible, can work independently but are also a good relationship builder. We see that you possess pedagogical insight, can be clear, structured, and quality-conscious, but at the same time able to create creative solutions.
Qualifications
You must have:
- Experience from the restaurant, gastronomy, or food service industry
- Documented leadership experience, e.g., as head chef, restaurant manager, or F&B manager
- Knowledge of restaurant economics
- Pedagogical ability and experience in educating, supervising, or leading groups
- Good communicative skills in speech and writing
- Ability to work in a structured, independent manner and in collaboration with many actors
- Experience of digital teaching and modern learning platforms
Merits
It is an advantage if you have:
- Experience of YH programs and/or education management
- Knowledge within sustainable gastronomy, future proteins, circular kitchens, or food innovation
- An established industry network within the restaurant and food sector
