In Trelleborg, we work together to build a growing, successful municipality where it is good to live. Our 61 villages and 21 urban districts are creative meeting places bubbling with life. Here, we take action, share our stories, and come as we are. This openness allows us to welcome others in the same generous and curious spirit.
Welcome to join the journey!
The Employment Administration works to promote the municipality's growth by creating conditions for residents to engage in lifelong learning and achieve self-sufficiency. We focus on workforce planning and coordinated operational services for businesses, addressing complex societal challenges with innovative approaches. The administration consists of three departments: Employment, Quality and Coordination, and Campus Trelleborg, and employs approximately 100 dedicated staff members.
Since everything Trelleborg Municipality does is based on our core values – openness, respect, and responsibility – it is crucial that these values are just as natural to you as they are to us in our work.
The Workplace
Are you interested in workforce planning? Do you have the energy and courage to create new methods and ways of working? Do you want to work in a process that is at the forefront of handling social assistance cases? If you answered yes to these questions, you might be the person we are looking for. Here, you will have the opportunity to work in an organization that makes a real difference for citizens, businesses, and the municipality. You will work in an environment where development work is a natural part of daily life, and where you contribute your expertise to help us reach our goals. We live by our core values of openness, respect, and responsibility, and it is important that you stand by these values and our perspective on workforce planning in both words and actions.
The Authority Unit consists of staff with great commitment and a focus on citizens. We are a unit known for our sense of humor, believing it is important to have fun at work while supporting and challenging each other in our daily tasks.
Responsibilities
The Authority Unit has two sections: the Economic Assistance section and the Settlement and Establishment section. Your role involves supervising and supporting case officers and establishment coordinators in complex cases. The role also includes serving as the guardian for unaccompanied minor refugees who currently live in their own apartments. You will serve as a natural support for management, and a large part of the work will involve organizational development. The extent of overtime duties may vary depending on the unit's needs.
As a Senior Case Officer, you will participate in collaboration forums with various administrations and authorities.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who have a degree in social work or another post-secondary education that the employer deems relevant for the position. You should be a skilled administrator, have experience handling social assistance cases, and possess knowledge of social law. You should also have experience supervising groups and working with organizational development. It is an advantage if you have previously worked with unaccompanied minor refugees, as the guardian role requires knowledge of this target group. Experience with homelessness issues and with newly arrived refugees is also considered an advantage.
Since the position involves a significant amount of written investigations, it is important that you have excellent verbal and written communication skills. You are independent, analytical, and curious. The role requires a high degree of responsibility and good collaboration skills with partners and colleagues. Your communication skills and ability to treat people well are important parts of the work as a Senior Case Officer. Additionally, you must have the courage to make difficult decisions and handle challenging conversations and situations.
We assume that you are an empathetic and secure person with personal maturity, contributing to a good work climate. You should be interested in working based on the individual's own opportunities and resources, and with your engagement, contribute to developing the operations.
We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
