Hospitals West is a department within the Region of Västra Götaland and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Primary Care Hospital, Högsbo Primary Care Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Approximately 3,000 employees work with us every day to provide good, safe, and high-quality specialist healthcare.

Högsbo Primary Care Hospital offers an exciting workplace where you will have the opportunity to work with new methods and become an important part of innovative forms of care close to the patient. Högsbo Primary Care Hospital is a so-called "smart hospital" where we combine innovative working methods with future IT support to enable high-quality care with the patient in focus. The hospital features a day surgery center, a specialist center with radiology and sample collection for adults and children. Högsbo Primary Care Hospital is a key part of the development of primary care in the Gothenburg area.

Our Workplace

We treat patients with chronic neurological diagnoses, primarily Parkinson's disease, multiple sclerosis, and epilepsy. We have close collaboration within the work group as well as with our Rehabilitation Clinic, which creates a patient-focused and efficient care chain. We are at the forefront of healthcare digitalization and work towards accessible care for a growing, aging population.

In early 2024, the operations moved to the newly built Högsbo Primary Care Hospital.

Job Responsibilities

Clinical patient work at the general neurology clinic, including new patient visits, follow-up visits, digital consultations, and administrative tasks, in close collaboration with the rest of the team. As a doctor with us, you have your own patients whom you are responsible for.

Qualifications

We are looking for a specialist doctor in neurology. Competence in Parkinson's disease, MS, and other general neurology will be highly valued. We expect you to be service-oriented and have a good manner of dealing with patients. You have a high work capacity, are flexible, independent, and have good teamwork skills. As a person, you are responsible, safe, and confident in your role, positive in your attitude, and contribute to a good climate in the work group.

You should have an interest in working digitally and be willing to try new working methods.

Personal suitability will be given great weight.
