Are you ready to take the next step in your nursing career? At Surgical Ward 2, you work in a modern and inspiring environment where advanced technology meets human presence. Here, you have the opportunity to provide both acute surgical care and high-level palliative care – while developing in your professional role.

Our ward, part of the Surgery and Orthopedics department, consists of 28 state-of-the-art single rooms. Here, nurses, nursing assistants, paramedics, and doctors work together in teams that promote collaboration, learning, and patient-safe, person-centered care. We have a very good work climate, and everyone truly enjoys working together, both in daily life and during intense periods – a place where colleagues support each other and celebrate successes together.

We care for patients with everything from acute surgical diseases, traumatic injuries, and urological problems, to planned operations and palliative care beds. You work closely with the pain team, mobile palliative team, dietitian, and primary care team – a true cross-professional collaboration.

New to surgery or a newly graduated nurse? No worries!

We offer a secure and flexible introduction over four weeks, where you receive support and shadowing based on your needs.

Clinical Foundation Year

For you who are a newly graduated nurse/X-ray nurse, the Clinical Foundation Year is included during the first year of your permanent employment. The Clinical Foundation Year includes lectures, process-oriented nursing supervision, and practical training of your profession at the Simulation Center. It also includes shadowing in other departments to give you a broader understanding of the hospital where you work. This is an initiative designed to give you the opportunity to further develop in your profession and build your professional identity.

This is your chance to grow in a professional, learning, and warm team, while simultaneously developing your professional identity within both surgery and palliative care.

• Are a licensed nurse (experience in surgery/palliative care is meritorious but not a requirement)
