Närhälsan offers high-quality primary care close to home. With hundreds of clinics in Västra Götaland, we are close to residents throughout their lives and make a difference to their health. We take care of you and offer development throughout your entire career.
About Us
Närhälsan Munkedal Health Centre is a well-established clinic with approximately 8,500 registered patients. We also have a specialized unit for young people with mental illness (UPH), where a dedicated team consisting of a psychologist, psychotherapist, and counselor works with children and adolescents aged 6–18. As one of our employees will be on study leave, we are now looking for an addition to the team.
At the health centre, seven district doctors, three training doctors, and two licensed doctors work alongside nurses, district nurses, nursing assistants, a rehabilitation coordinator, a care coordinator, medical secretaries, a foot care specialist, and a psychologist. Also located in the same building are Närhälsan's rehabilitation clinic and youth clinic, with which we collaborate closely. Our Child Health Centre (CHC) is located at the Family Centre.
We continuously work on improvement efforts, both in clinical work and to maintain a good working environment where we care for each other, thrive, and develop. As an employee of Närhälsan, you are offered excellent opportunities for competence development, for example through internal training and mentorship programs. We actively work on developing our working methods to best meet the needs of our patients. Please read more about the benefits and perks we offer at Närhälsan: Link to our website (#)
About the Role
The Young People's Mental Health (UPH) unit is tasked with providing early and appropriate care for children, adolescents, and their guardians with mental illness. As a licensed psychotherapist, you will work in close collaboration with other primary care staff. You will assess, diagnose, and treat children and adolescents with mental illness, as well as the significance of psychosocial factors, and based on this, propose and implement appropriate interventions.
You will collaborate with other actors, such as schools and social services, where you will also participate in SIP (Interagency Support) meetings. Treatment interventions for depression, anxiety, and self-harm behaviors, as well as counseling, support, and crisis conversations, are part of your duties. You will become an important contact for parental support, both individually and in groups, and will also conduct other group therapies such as worry management, AFFEKT, and ABC. There is also the possibility to perform part of the work remotely.
About You
You are a licensed psychotherapist with at least one year of experience working with children and adolescents with mental illness.
We are looking for someone who is confident in their professional role and comfortable making independent assessments. We would like you to take an active role in our development work with integrated behavioral health, be interested in quality improvement, and have an interest in sharing knowledge and information about mental health with your colleagues. To thrive in this role, you need to be flexible, have good teamwork skills, and the ability to work independently. Acting professionally and having a good attitude towards patients and colleagues is a given. We also expect you to embody Närhälsan's core values: Reliable, Caring, and Innovative.
Other Information
- Travel during work is required; a Category B driver's license is required.
- The position is a fixed-term contract for 12 months with good opportunities for extension.
- Interviews are conducted on a rolling basis.
We welcome your application!
