Description

The Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP) Affective Clinic in Kungälv belongs to the Psychiatry Department at Kungälv Hospital and is located at Rollsbovägen 58 in Kungälv. There are good connections to Gothenburg. In 2020, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Kungälv and Ale was divided into two units: one focused on patients with neuropsychiatric disabilities and another focused on patients with affective problems. We are now looking for a new employee for this affective clinic.

The team consists of consultants, nurses, psychologists, social workers, secretaries, and the unit manager. Speech therapists and occupational therapists, who are employed by the neuropsychiatric unit, are also available. The operations are characterized by high competence and a high degree of collaboration, conducted from a cross-professional perspective. In addition to various types of counseling, we also conduct group activities. All professional groups receive continuous supervision based on their profession.

Responsibilities

Qualified assessment, evaluation, and treatment work with children, adolescents, and their families. The work takes place in teams but also independently. We often have contact with neighboring healthcare providers, schools, and social services. The clinic has on-call duty during daytime hours.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed psychologist and want to help continue developing our clinic with shared commitment and innovative thinking. Previous experience in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is meritorious but not a requirement. We would also like you to have experience in therapeutic work with children and adolescents with affective problems. Experience in some form of emergency function is also desirable.

You have an open mind and good ability to critically review your work, as well as a clear patient focus manifested in collaboration with the patient regarding diagnosis and treatment methods. Above all, you are someone who values the important work with the mental health of children and young people and wants to work for outstanding and accessible Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

We require extracts from the criminal record register for all offered positions within the Psychiatry Department.
