About Ward 57

Ward 57 is a general psychiatric emergency care ward with a focus on acute crisis conditions and belongs to adult psychiatric inpatient care, located at NÄL in Trollhättan. We have a total of 14 care beds and treat patients according to the Health and Medical Services Act (HSL) or the Act on Compulsory Psychiatric Care (LPT).

We investigate, diagnose, and treat patients with acute psychiatric conditions and diseases, where the conditions require inpatient specialist care. The ward is specialized in personality disorders and also works with the concept of SI – Self-Selected Admission.

The goal of our care is to give the patient an optimal daily life.

The work group consists of doctors, specialist nurses, nurses, social pedagogues, and assistant nurses. On our ward, we place high priority on work environment and care environment. We work systematically around daily management and operational development, which in turn enables continuous development of care quality and patient safety.

Job Responsibilities

• The treatment work consists of standard nursing tasks – ward rounds, medication management, sampling, wound dressing, injections, ECG, observations, and assessments. Assessments and interventions for acute and non-acute somatic and psychiatric conditions.
• Leadership responsibilities to varying degrees.
• Key contact person for our patients together with colleagues. The key contact persons are responsible for everything regarding their patient's care and for planning interventions together with the patient and the rest of the team. We have scheduled working hours every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse.
• You are open to change and willing to contribute to the development of the operation.
• We value personal suitability where qualities such as flexibility and good social competence with humor and positive thinking are in focus.
• Previous experience in psychiatry is meritorious but not a requirement.

Clinical Base Year

As a newly graduated nurse, you are included in the Clinical Base Year with regular mentor meetings on the ward.
