About Us

Ekensbergsskolan is a small, well-functioning school with approximately 375 students from preschool class to grade 6. The school is pleasantly built with a round building structure, where classrooms extend from a large light hall located in the center. The light hall makes it easy to see and communicate with all students and adults during the school day. The school offers diverse education, mixing digital teaching with traditional methods to keep students' curiosity and creativity at their peak throughout the school day. All students in grades 1–3 have their own iPads, and students in grades 4–6 have their own computers.

Goal achievement is high among students, and we have an active and well-functioning work with values and ethics.

What Does the Job Entail?

Together with other teachers, you are responsible for the pedagogical operations. You will be part of a work team that will shape and develop the operations and lay a good foundation for students' development. In collegial work, we work with accessible learning so that all students can reach their full potential. An important part of the job is to maintain and develop the social climate so that all students feel good and thrive in the group.

The teaching includes, among other things:

• All parts of the craft process, from developing ideas and planning the work to creating and evaluating the work.
• Teaching knowledge about tools and craft techniques as well as important subject words and concepts.

Who Are We Looking For?

We are looking for you who have:

• A teaching degree and teaching certification.
• Qualifications to teach textile crafts.
• Knowledge in pedagogical documentation.

We would appreciate it if you have a few years of experience working as a teacher.

To succeed in the role, it is important that you have the ability to connect the operations to the curriculum and other regulatory documents. As a person, you are flexible, team-oriented, and relationship-building. We are looking for you who, with good pedagogical insight, can create situations where students thrive and can succeed. Your leadership is rooted in the belief that all students want to develop.

As a person, you are sensitive to students' needs, clear, respectful, and have the ability to collaborate and build relationships with both our students and parents and colleagues. You take initiative and adapt easily to changed circumstances. The position requires that you can communicate clearly and that you plan, organize, and prioritize work effectively.
