At the Education Administration in Järfälla Municipality, approximately 3,100 employees work in one of our 39 preschools, 22 schools, upper secondary schools, adult education programs, and central administration. We are a school offering activities from preschool class to grade 9, located in Viksjö in a residential area of small houses. The school has approximately 760 students. We work in teams to foster close collaboration regarding our students' development, both social and academic. Since 2011, we have worked with digital tools in various ways; for example, we have Smartboards in classrooms for grades F-3, and students in grades 4-9 have their own laptops.

We aim to leverage the fact that we have students aged six to fifteen by holding joint theme days for the entire school, where older students work together with younger children/students. Another part of utilizing the knowledge and experience of the entire operation is that we have a joint pedagogical leadership group with representatives from each operational area, whose purpose is to drive and anchor school development.

Job Description

In the role of a teacher in the leisure center (fritidshem), you are responsible for planning, developing, and implementing education in the leisure center based on regulatory documents. You work to create a safe, meaningful, and stimulating daily routine where students have the opportunity for both recreation and learning. The work takes place in close collaboration with colleagues in teams, where you jointly develop the operations and contribute to a creative and permissive climate. You use both indoor and outdoor environments pedagogically and work inclusively to meet every student's needs. An important part of the assignment is to support students in need of special support, including students with neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF), and to contribute to making the leisure center a safe and developmental environment for everyone.

Qualifications

For the position, the school is looking for a certified teacher for leisure centers or a leisure center pedagogue with good leadership qualities and a professional approach. You need to be well-versed in the curriculum and the mission of the leisure center, and you are expected to work in a structured, responsible, and flexible manner based on the needs of the operations and students. Experience working with students in need of special support, especially students with neurodevelopmental disorders (NPF), is important. You are passionate about leisure center pedagogy and recess activities, use the outdoor environment pedagogically, and express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. In your application, the school wants you to describe your view of children and what is central in your approach to children.
