Do you have several years of experience working with technology and innovation within the business sector? Do you also have several years of experience successfully coordinating, analyzing, and representing an organization? We are now looking for two experienced case officers to work on technology and innovation issues at the Office for Coordination of National Security and Defence Questions.

The National Security Advisor is responsible for the analysis, coordination, and direction of issues concerning national security and supports the Advisor.
The Office for Coordination of National Security and Defence Questions supports the National Security Advisor in analyzing, coordinating, and directing issues, as well as facilitating travel and visits within the Office's areas of responsibility. The Office is responsible for the overall coordination of the Government's NATO policy as well as defense policy issues. The Office also handles issues regarding emerging technologies such as AI and space, defense industrial issues, and export control issues within the defense sector.
The Office is now seeking senior case officers who will, among other things, be responsible for the ongoing handling and coordination of issues regarding emerging technologies, AI, space, and certain issues related to economic security, preferably within the defense sector but also more broadly within the field of national security. The work is characterized by close dialogue with the Prime Minister's political staff, the National Security Advisor, the leadership support team, the offices under the National Security Advisor, and other relevant parties within the Prime Minister's Office. Particularly important is the ongoing coordination of several cross-departmental technology working groups within the Prime Minister's Office. A key part of the role is the ability to represent the organization in various forums internally, externally, and internationally.

Your Background
To be considered for this role, you must meet all mandatory requirements and preferably also the merit criteria.
Requirements:
- An academic degree as a civil engineer, in political science, economics/law, or another area relevant to the position, or other educational background deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Several years of experience working with technology and innovation within the business sector.
- Several years of experience successfully coordinating and analyzing in operations relevant to the position with positive results, representing an organization in various contexts, and representing an organization with many stakeholders while coordinating their interests.
- Experience in identifying, coordinating, and creating consensus on issues affecting many parties in both national and international contexts.
- Very good knowledge of the interaction between public and private operations.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish technology and innovation policy.
- Good knowledge of defense industrial issues.
- Good knowledge of NATO and the EU's role in technology, innovation, and defense areas.
- Good skills in oral and written expression, in both Swedish and English.
Merits:
- Knowledge of and experience with issues regarding national security and defense.
- Experience working within the Prime Minister's Office and/or authorities in one or more areas relevant to the position.
- Experience and insight into what it is like to work in a politically driven organization.
- Good knowledge of Swedish space policy/issues.
- Good skills in a language other than Swedish and English.
- Knowledge of the structure and design of the Total Defence.
- Good knowledge of the Prime Minister's Office's organization and working methods.

Other Information
The advertisement concerns a permanent position starting with a six-month probationary period, as well as a fixed-term employment of max 1 year. Earliest possible start date.
Emergency preparedness work outside regular working hours and business travel may occur.
The position is classified for security clearance, and a security investigation with register check will be conducted before a decision on employment is made. You must be a Swedish citizen, but may have a foreign background.
