Do you want to contribute to the development, coordination, and support of logistics within the Swedish Armed Forces?

As a Staff Assistant, you will have an important role in the daily work at the staff. You will support managers and case handlers with administration, information management, follow-up, and the preparation of background materials.

With us, you will have the opportunity to develop within logistics, staff service, and administrative support in an operation that is of great significance to the Swedish Armed Forces' capability.

About the Staff:

The FMLOG Staff supports the Commander of FMLOG in the leadership and control of the unit Swedish Armed Forces Logistics.

As a Staff Assistant, you belong to the Support Department at the FMLOG Staff. The department consists of several sections working with issues such as security, logistics, materiel, command systems, infrastructure, operational security, as well as environmental and quality issues.

The role of Staff Assistant is located at the Logistics Section, but you support the entire department. Here you work closely with managers, case handlers, and other staff assistants within the staff. Together, we contribute to creating structure, order, and progress in the daily work.

FMLOG Staff is located at Gärdet in Stockholm.

Main Responsibilities:

As a Staff Assistant, you support the department in the daily staff work. The work is varied and may involve compiling information, following up on cases, preparing simpler background materials, and helping to ensure that the right information is available at the right time.

Your tasks may include:

  • contributing to internal routines and working methods functioning in daily life
  • helping with reports, presentations, meeting materials, and other documentation
  • collaborating with other staff assistants to ensure good information dissemination
  • participating in working groups or temporary assignments as needed.

The role suits you if you like order and structure, find it easy to collaborate, and wish to develop in a staff environment. You will have the opportunity to learn the work step-by-step and grow into the role.

  • completed and approved national service or military basic training
  • a driver's license with at least category B
  • good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish
  • good computer skills and a willingness to learn new systems

Personal Attributes:

To thrive in the role, you need to be careful, responsible, and willing to contribute to the group's work. You need to be able to take initiative, but also dare to ask when something is unclear.

We are looking for you who are positive, service-oriented, and find it easy to collaborate with others. You enjoy creating order, keeping track of information, and helping others move forward in their work.

Since the work may involve handling important and sometimes sensitive information, you need to have good judgment, integrity, and an understanding of the importance of following routines.

Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.

Merits:

It is meritorious if you have:

  • previous experience of working within the Swedish Armed Forces, in addition to national service or basic training.
  • experience of administrative work
