Do you want to lead an engaged team and help shape the healthcare and care environments of the future in Malmö?

We are now looking for a temporary unit manager for the Local Environment unit. In this role, you will have a strategic and operationally close assignment where you lead the local planning work for one of Malmö City's largest administrations.

With us, you will:

  • Lead and develop an experienced team of eight local coordinators
  • Drive operational and strategic local issues that affect future healthcare and care operations
  • Join the department's management group and contribute to important decisions
  • Build networks and collaborate with many different operations within Malmö City
  • Work in an organization where public benefit is in focus

The position is a parental leave substitute for up to one year.

Job Responsibilities

As a unit manager, you are responsible for operations, economy, and personnel. You create conditions for the group's development while driving the administration's local planning work forward.

The role involves many contact areas where you collaborate with operations, colleagues, and external actors to find long-term and sustainable local solutions.

As a unit manager, you report to the department manager and are part of the department's management group together with other unit managers, property controllers, and the development manager for digitalization.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

  • Relevant university education of at least 180 credits
  • Several years of experience in local planning, property management, or a related field
  • Documented leadership experience that the employer deems relevant
  • Good computer skills and experience working with IT tools related to your daily work
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written

It is meritorious if you have:

  • Managerial experience
  • Experience working in a politically governed organization
  • Experience being responsible for a support and service operation in a larger organization
  • Experience of change/development work in a larger organization
  • Management and leadership training
