Description

Rättvik Municipality is perhaps best known for its magnificent nature and its richness in cultural traditions within music and art. We also have a nice selection of various sports facilities, such as an ice hall, multi-arena, golf courses, swimming pool, ski slope, ski tracks, and a multitude of hiking and cycling trails.

We are looking for you who are a social pedagogue with professional experience. You have a good ability to create social relationships and experience working in primary schools and school social teams. We place great importance on you being a person with good collaboration skills, as you will be part of a team with social workers and another social pedagogue working together. Our mission is targeted at increasing school attendance for students in Rättvik Municipality. Rättvik Municipality has eight primary schools spread across the municipality, and collaboration with the different school units will also be part of the assignment.

Job Description

Together with the other members of the school social team, you will drive and develop working methods to increase school attendance in the municipality. Together, you work with students in all grades with a social focus. An important part of the role is to collaborate with counselors, student assistants, mentors, teachers, and other staff at the schools, where your focus will be on the students' well-being and attendance. All staff in the municipality are involved in the in-depth systematic quality and development work.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a social pedagogue or have similar education and/or experience in the profession. We assume that you are up to date with current school research in the field. You have the ability to handle both complex and everyday questions and tasks in a structured and responsible manner from a holistic perspective. You also need to be good at collaborating and easily build good relationships with students. It is important to us that you are clear in your message. Meritorious is also experience in the profession and having worked with school social teams.

You need to master the Swedish language well, both in speech and writing. Since you will be working in our entire extensive municipality, a category B driver's license is required.
