Do you want the chance to build a mobile app from scratch, work with modern fintech, and take on significant responsibility early in your career? We are looking for a Junior Software Developer to join an established Swedish fintech company that is ready to take the next step in its digital development. The company already has its own technical platform, an experienced development team, and existing customer flows – but no mobile app yet.

About the Role

You will become a key part of the company's first mobile app initiative, working closely with an experienced internal development team. This role is perfect for you if you enjoy creating, testing, and improving. You will help build the first modern self-service app for existing customers, focusing on user-friendliness, security, and clear customer value. Your tasks will include features related to login, customer overview, loans, credits, savings accounts, documents, messages, and customer service.

Beyond app development, there is also an ambition to explore how AI and modern development tools can be used to streamline the development process, improve internal workflows, and ultimately create more value for customers. You don't need to be an AI expert, but we believe you are curious, try out new tools, and enjoy finding smarter ways to solve problems.

Responsibilities

You will help develop the company's first mobile app for existing customers. The app will function as a modern self-service platform where customers can easily log in, get an overview of their products, and handle basic matters directly from their mobile devices.

In this role, you will work on tasks such as:

• Secure login and authentication
• Customer overview and dashboard
• Documents, invoices, and terms
• Messages and important customer notifications
• Customer service functions and simplified case flows
• Integrations with existing internal systems and APIs
• Testing, improvements, and further development of the app

The focus for the first version is to create clear customer value, simplicity, and secure handling of information – not to build a full-scale banking app from scratch.

In the long term, there is also an ambition to explore how AI and modern development tools can be used to streamline the development process, improve internal processes, and create more value for customers.

We are looking for you who

• Are a recent graduate in computer science, software engineering, systems science, or similar, or are early in your career
• Have built your own projects, likely at a hobby level, at work, or through school
• Have experience experimenting with AI and modern development tools
• Have a genuine interest in technology and product development
• Have good proficiency in Swedish and English

Experience with mobile development, JavaScript/TypeScript, API integrations, AI tools, or similar technologies is a plus, but we place greater emphasis on drive, problem-solving skills, and personal projects than on a specific tech stack.

This is a role for you if you don't just want to write code, but want to help build something new, influence workflows, and contribute to how an established fintech company takes its next digital step.
