About the Workplace

In the city, the Social Services Department is responsible for individual and family care. Our mission is to enable residents to become independent in life so that they can take an active part in society.

At the Social Services Department in Helsingborg, we work based on the "Signs of Safety" approach. All social secretaries, therapists, administrative staff, HR, finance, and political leadership are trained in this approach. This means you will become part of an organization where network work, participation, and a clear focus on those we meet permeate all change work with families.

We work together with the individual's own resources and network to create sustainable and long-term changes.

Family Law in Helsingborg is a collaborative unit where eight municipalities cooperate: Helsingborg, Bjuv, Båstad, Höganäs, Klippan, Svalöv, Åstorp, and Örkelljunga. Together, we work to offer residents an equal and accessible family law service of high quality. Through collaboration, we create conditions for more preventive work – where the child's needs are always in focus.

To meet the residents' needs in matters concerning custody, residence, and contact, we need reinforcement from you, who are a trained social worker and have a burning interest in children whose parents are in conflict.

Job Responsibilities

As a Family Law Secretary, you work to support children and parents in difficult life situations. You have the ability to look beyond the conflict and focus on the child's needs – and you actively contribute to preventing children from being harmed.

Your responsibilities include, among other things:

• Informational interviews
• Rapid inquiries
• Investigations regarding custody, residence, and contact
• Cooperation meetings
• Contact support
• Parenting investigations
• Adoption cases
• Agreement procedures
• Case handling according to the "Conflict and Reconciliation" method in cooperation with the District Court

Qualifications

To be able to work in one of the world's most rewarding, but sometimes also very difficult jobs, you must have a degree in Social Work. Experience in the family law field is meritorious.

We are looking for you who:

• Have good self-awareness and are secure in your professional role
• Are empathetic, structured, and flexible
• Enjoy working both independently and in a team
• Have good communication skills in both speech and writing
• Have personal maturity, a positive outlook, and preferably a twinkle in your eye
• Preferably have a driver's license and drive a car
