What does the role entail?

Hello! I am a woman born in 1998 and I am currently looking for more assistants to join my team. Today, I live on a small farm just outside Klippan with my parents, but the plan is for me to move out of my parents' home in the near future. I have severe ME (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis) and autism, and I am looking for someone with a genuine commitment to working with people and who views this assignment as a long-term opportunity. As my assistant, you will find joy in helping and supporting another person in their daily life, and you thrive in a calmer work pace where the focus is on creating quality of life for the person you are working with. My energy levels vary throughout the day, and I am sensitive to sound and light. Therefore, you need to be attentive and responsive to me and my needs. I need help with all aspects of daily life, and I appreciate it when we eat together.

It is important that you are not allergic to or afraid of furry animals, as I have cats at home and meet with a therapy dog every week. I love animals, and they bring me a lot of joy. Experience with my diagnoses and/or personal assistance is an advantage, but the most important thing is that we get along well. I also require that you have a driver's license, are proficient in Swedish both verbally and in writing, and can read without difficulty, as one of the tasks will involve reading aloud. If you have an interest in animals, that is a big plus. It is important to me that you are flexible and adaptable, as well as smoke- and snus-free.

We are looking for someone who can work approximately 50%. The working hours vary, but we would prefer that you can work during the day, evening, and night (with sleeping on-call), both on weekdays and weekends, and we view this position as a long-term role.

About you

The most important factor is the personal chemistry between you as the applicant and the client. This may become decisive in the final selection.

Requirements for you

  • Proficient in Swedish in speaking, reading comprehension, and writing, as well as reading aloud,
  • Smoke-free and snus-free,
  • Not allergic to or afraid of furry animals,
  • Hold a Category B driver's license and have access to a car to commute to work.

Advantageous if you have

  • Experience working as a personal assistant or within healthcare and social care,
  • An interest in animals,
  • Knowledge of low-affective interaction (calm and non-confrontational approach).

Scope: Part-time approx. 50%. Number of positions: 5. Start date: According to agreement. Selection and interviews are conducted continuously, and the positions will be filled as soon as possible. Salary: We apply individual salary setting. Other benefits in accordance with the collective agreement.

In case of employment

To be employed by us at Nordström Assistans, you need to have a BankID and agree to use your BankID in the role. A prerequisite for starting employment with us is that you, as the applicant, can present a valid ID document as well as a valid certificate of personal details (personbevis) and/or any documents proving the right to work in Sweden. You can easily download the certificate of personal details from the Swedish Tax Agency's website. Due to the fact that the position may involve solo work, night work, and tasks that according to the Swedish Work Environment Authority's regulations (AFS 2012:3) cannot be performed by minors, you must be at least 18 years old to work as a personal assistant with us.

If you are to work with this client, you are required to present an extract from the criminal record. From March 1, 2026, new regulations will apply, meaning that the register check will include both extracts from the criminal record and extracts from the suspicion register. The extract is ordered via the Police Authority's e-service. Note that processing times may vary, so the order should be placed well in advance.
