Malmö Magistratsgymnasium is looking for a social pedagogue with a strong commitment to students' learning, well-being, and social development for a temporary position during the 2026/2027 academic year.

Malmö Magistratsgymnasium is a small school that opened in the autumn term of 2025. We welcome students studying Individualized Alternative (IMA) or Vocational Introduction (IMY). We also have a few places for students from other upper secondary schools who temporarily need to be relocated. Join us and contribute to the future of Malmö's residents and society!

Responsibilities

As a social pedagogue, you contribute to a holistic perspective where society, groups, and individuals collaborate. You work with the school's core values and actively participate in the school's development work.

Here, you will work with students both individually and in groups. The focus is on meeting students where they are and supporting and motivating them. Together with teachers and other colleagues at the school, you will design and develop the school's learning environment to create a safe and stimulating activity that contributes to students' learning and development.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• A post-secondary education relevant to the position, comprising at least two years of full-time study (120 ECTS or a two-year vocational education)
• Previous experience in similar work
• Good understanding of the school's goals and quality work
• Very good command of Swedish in speech and writing.

Merits:

• Training in motivational interviewing
• Experience working within upper secondary introduction programs or special education groups in compulsory school (grades 7-9)
• Experience leading youth activities or involvement in community organizations
• Experience and knowledge of drug prevention work
• Good habit of collaborating with other authorities and external actors.

As a person, you are relationship-oriented, have a good approach to others, and the ability to guide students in social interactions. You have very good communication skills and express yourself clearly and appropriately depending on the situation and recipient. Furthermore, it is important that you are pedagogical and good at collaborating. You also need to be flexible as schedules and support needs may change during the year.

About the Workplace

Malmö Magistratsgymnasium is a smaller school unit in central Malmö for students studying Individualized Alternative (IMA) or Vocational Introduction (IMY). A few places will also be available for students from other upper secondary schools who temporarily need a different placement. The Upper Secondary and Adult Education Administration is one of three school administrations in Malmö Municipality.
