RESPONSIBILITIES

We are currently looking for secure and engaged support assistants!

Are you looking for a meaningful job where you get to help create conditions for a secure, independent, and meaningful life for people with disabilities? Do you easily put yourself in other people's perspectives and have a genuine desire to see individuals develop? Then you might be the one we are looking for!

At our workplace, the individual's right to participation and self-determination is at the center. As a support assistant, you work closely with the user in their home and are an important support in daily life. The tasks include, among other things, help with cooking, cleaning, personal care, social activities, and medication management after delegation.

We work from a pedagogical approach where every intervention is designed together with the user, respecting the individual's needs, wishes, and daily condition. You need to be attentive, flexible, and have the courage to test new solutions – always with the user's best interest in focus.

In our residential facilities, you work in a team with other professions but also have significant personal responsibility. We collaborate closely with relatives, day activities, and other professionals in the individual's network.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

• You must provide a certificate of having completed approved education within care and social services, preferably with a focus on disabilities, or have completed the child and leisure program with a focus on people with special needs, or other education that the employer deems equivalent.
• You have a good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written, are computer literate, and can document clearly, correctly, and structured.

Experience

• We are looking for you who have experience working with people with disabilities and autism, and who understand the individual's different needs and conditions.
• We would appreciate if you have knowledge and previous experience regarding working with people with challenging behavior, low-affective handling, and various forms of supportive and alternative communication.

As a person, you are:

• Secure and stable, and take on your assignment with great engagement and responsibility.
• Treat every individual with respect for privacy, self-determination, and participation, and work from a clarifying pedagogy to create an understandable and manageable daily life.
• Curious, solution-focused, and enjoy taking on new challenges. Together with others, you are attentive, observant, and constructive in conflict management.
