Make a difference. Every day.

Are you an experienced social worker interested in stimulating and meaningful work with children, young people, and their families? Do you have the desire and drive to develop future care for our children and young people with complex psychiatric difficulties? Then we welcome you to our team at BUP FACT Clinic Malmö.

In collaboration with the City of Malmö, Trelleborg, Svedala, and Vellinge municipalities, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry in Skåne has launched the first FACT team in Skåne. We operate from excellent facilities in the Kulladal area of Malmö and are staffed in a cross-professional manner by personnel from the Region and Social Services (ASF). We also collaborate with coordinators from the other partner municipalities, schools, and other important healthcare providers and actors relevant to the cases.

Our target group is children and young people aged 6 to 18 and their families, where there is complex child psychiatric complexity requiring extensive support and treatment from both healthcare and social services. The purpose of FACT is to create a comprehensive structure for a treatment team around the patient where all relevant professions and resources, deemed necessary for the patient's needs, are in focus and included. Flexible interventions on the patient's own terms are carried out in close collaboration between healthcare and the municipality.

Our goal is to guarantee the continuity of care, raise the level of functioning, prevent admission to inpatient care, and break the young person's social exclusion by stimulating them to active participation. The team should flexibly meet needs of varying intensity in support and interventions. The advantage for the young person is being able to receive adequate treatment and need-oriented interventions from the same organization, regardless of changes in their well-being. Difficulties we most often encounter are young people with neuropsychiatric diagnoses, mood disorders, post-traumatic difficulties, and OCD. Often in a combined complexity with comorbidity and problematic school absenteeism.

1 position.

Job Responsibilities

The assignment includes mapping, assessment, treatment, and investigation of young people with complex child psychiatric difficulties with comorbidity and social challenges. We collaborate closely with the young person and their social network, care neighbors, and other partners to achieve clarity on which interventions are needed to improve the young person's well-being and level of functioning.

The tasks involve both systemic and theoretical moments. Conversations can take place at the clinic, through home visits, or where the young person wishes to be seen. Mapping, observations, exposure, and activation. Individual and family conversations and collaboration are a large part of the work with, for example, care neighbors, schools, and social services. As a team member, you contribute, in addition to your specialist competence, to the team's work supporting young people in need of intensified interventions. You are given the opportunity to develop the counselor role together with your colleagues, participate in implementing the overall work with SVP and evidence-based methods within stepped care. Furthermore, we contribute together to developing the FACT concept within BUP Skåne.

Together with the work group, you will have the opportunity for supervision once a month. The opportunity for further education and training is great, and the clinic has regular lectures within the child psychiatric knowledge area.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a social work degree. Language skills in Swedish at least level B2 according to the Council of Europe scale are a requirement. A valid B-driving license is a requirement for the position.

Working with young people and their families who have had major challenges for a longer period requires a therapeutic approach, flexibility, and good collaboration skills. The complexity of the difficulties among our young people requires skill in assessing and ruling out different symptoms and diagnoses, which means there needs to be interest, experience, and knowledge about the work required with our target group. We therefore see that experience in psychiatry and family therapy work is necessary to feel that you succeed in this role. Experience in neuropsychiatry, OCD, and differential diagnosis is an advantage and seen as a merit. Step 1 CBT or family education is highly desirable, but not a requirement.

You are focused and responsible. Can set your own boundaries based on the routines and decisions made. Thrives working both individually and in a team, on the family's home ground as well as at the clinic. To be able to offer good care to our patients and their families and maintain good contact with other actors, we presuppose that you have good collaboration skills with clear communication, both internally and externally. We are keen to find the right person for the assignment and therefore place great emphasis on personal suitability.

As part of the suitability assessment, prior to the decision to offer employment, a check of the suspicion and criminal record register will be made.
