Job Responsibilities

We are looking for an engaged care pedagogue for our daily activities program under the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments). Here, you will mentor participants with autism, intellectual disabilities, and mental health issues in their daily activities and development.

The role involves providing individually adapted support with a focus on participation, structure, and independence. We work with clarifying pedagogy and low-affective interaction. Together with colleagues, you plan, implement, follow up on, and develop the operations.

As a care pedagogue, you drive and develop the pedagogical work, lead in pedagogical matters, and strengthen teamwork so that the operations are conducted in accordance with LSS intentions.

You ensure that each participant receives individually adapted pedagogical support and support staff in working with implementation plans. You quality-assure documentation, follow up on methods, and contribute to a systematic approach regarding support needs, activities, and deviations.

The role also includes contributing to operational development together with the section manager and keeping up-to-date with methods and approaches based on science and proven experience within LSS.

As a care pedagogue, you are responsible for:

• Driving and developing the pedagogical work and leading in pedagogical matters.
• Leading and developing teamwork in the operations.
• Ensuring that operations are conducted according to LSS within daily activities.
• Ensuring individually adapted pedagogical support based on the user's needs.
• Supporting and quality-assuring work with implementation plans, action plans, and documentation.
• Being responsible for the implementation and follow-up of methods and approaches.
• Ensuring a systematic approach regarding user support, activities, and deviations.
• Contributing to the operations' quality and development work in dialogue with the section manager.
• Keeping up-to-date with methods and approaches according to science and proven experience within LSS.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• a university or college degree (at least a bachelor's degree, 180 credits) in behavioral science, pedagogy, or another education that the employer deems relevant
• at least two years of experience working with people with autism and intellectual disabilities
• at least one year of experience working within LSS
• ability to translate theory into practice within low-affective interaction and clarifying pedagogy
• experience with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication), group leadership, and pedagogical reasoning based on the individual's specific needs
• good knowledge of drawing up implementation plans, action plans, and other social documentation
• valid driver's license (Category B)

Meritorious qualifications include:

• work experience as a care pedagogue and/or work within daily activities
• knowledge in drawing up implementation plans, action plans, and other social documentation

We are looking for you who are flexible, responsive, and creative, with good social competence, independence, and self-confidence. You have the ability to handle changes, take initiative, make independent decisions, and quickly shift focus when conditions change.

You are computer literate and can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
