Herrgårdsskolan is a school for grades F-6 (Preschool Class to Grade 6). We work in teams and value the collaboration between our different activities: school, after-school center, and preschool class. The school places great emphasis on relationships and actively works to create and maintain good relationships with those we serve, as good, secure relationships are a prerequisite for students' learning.

The staff group has a good work climate and consists of both younger and more experienced educators. We choose to see opportunities and believe that the desire to learn exists in everyone, and our mission is to preserve and promote this. Starting from strengths and abilities is the foundation of our work, and we meet our students with a low-affective approach.

Responsibilities

As a student assistant, you will work to support one or two students throughout the entire school day and during after-school hours. You will work in a team together with teachers, after-school staff, and other colleagues. Together, you will design and adapt the teaching to meet the students' specific needs based on the teacher's planning. Your task is to flexibly find ways for the students to reach their full potential, knowledge development, and independence.

You will work in the preschool class and at the after-school center.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with at least a secondary education. If you also have a student assistant education or other relevant education in the field, it is an advantage.

You express yourself fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing. You have experience working with students with neuropsychiatric disabilities (NPD). It is an advantage if you have experience working with students in need of extensive support, especially from special schools.

We are looking for someone who is sensitive to each individual's specific conditions and needs. You put the student at the center, where the focus is on supporting the student's learning and in everyday situations where they are in need of support. You work with a low-affective approach and have the ability to help provide structure for the students.

As a person, you are calm and confident. You see everyone's differences as an asset and are curious about finding solutions for difficulties that students may encounter in the learning environment. Collaboration is a prerequisite and a matter of course for you. In your professional role, you are expected to be able to collaborate with other professional groups and with the students' guardians for the best interest of the student.

The work involves students needing close support from you as a student assistant for all or part of their day at school and the after-school center. Therefore, it is important that you have the ability and enjoy acting independently.
