Description

We are looking for a substitute school counselor for grades F-3 at Norra Lyckan School and Parkskolan, starting in August.

We are looking for you if you have a great ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You have very good collaboration skills. You are engaged, solution-focused, and see opportunities based on given conditions.

Responsibilities

As a school counselor, you will have contact with the Central Student Health Services, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (BUP), habilitation services, social services, and the police. You will be part of our student health team together with the school nurse, special education teacher, special needs teacher, deputy principal, and principal. You will work with student health issues at both group and individual levels, with a focus on promoting and preventive work.

The work also involves supporting and supervising the school's staff in student health work, as well as writing social investigations.

In your work at the school, you will face many different challenges daily, which is why it is important that you enjoy working with complex issues, analyzing, and breaking down problems. You must be able to work independently, be clear and receptive, and adapt to the needs of students, guardians, and the school. We believe in teamwork and that no one can do everything, but together we can make a difference so that our students have a good school experience.

We will conduct interviews continuously during the application period.

Conditions

The position is initially a substitute position during the autumn term of 2026, with a possible extension.

Scope: 60–80%

If offered employment within the Child and Youth Administration, you are required to present a certificate of good conduct (extract from the Police Register) for work in schools/preschools.
