Leading projects that transform Gotland into renewable energy and mobility – does this sound like a task for you?
Energicentrum Gotland is tasked with driving the work towards Gotland having a 100% renewable energy system within 15 years. The Centre acts as a catalyst in Gotland's energy transition by spreading knowledge, communicating, creating conditions for renewable development, and serving as the natural contact point. In this work, we continuously lead a number of development projects within various areas of the transition.
As an employee at Energicentrum, the role involves contacts ranging from local community halls to the EU level, sometimes via national authorities and international partners. We are looking for someone who is motivated by this picture and wants to be part of the work. The position is a project-based employment for up to four years.
Energicentrum Gotland is a unit under the Department of Regional Development within Region Gotland. Your colleagues include energy and climate advisors, communicators, project managers, and specialists. The reference group for Energicentrum has broad anchoring among residents, business, public sector, and academia. The Centre is also a member of Energikontoren Sverige, which brings together 14 energy offices across Sweden and serves as a clear national voice in regional energy transition.

Your responsibilities
We expect you to enjoy development and change. As a project manager at Energicentrum, you will independently lead projects with clear objectives, but where the path there is continuously evaluated for the best results. You need an understanding of economics, although this is not the predominant part of the job. Most importantly, you must understand contexts, be able to create good collaborations, stimulate forward momentum, and keep to the schedule.
You do not need to be a specialist in the energy field, but we expect you to find the area exciting.
Who are you?
We are looking for you who have a university degree or at least four years of relevant professional experience. The role involves international contacts, which requires good ability to communicate in English. Experience in change management is considered an advantage.
We see that you have had tasks that created an understanding of financial management, schedules, and included coordination of partners and/or parallel processes.
To succeed in the role, you are self-reliant, structured, and have good personal maturity. You are development-oriented, see opportunities for improvements, and have the ability to turn ideas into practice. Furthermore, you have good collaboration skills, a flexible approach, and a holistic view that helps you prioritize and make well-founded decisions.
