Vittra Schools is one of Sweden's leading independent school companies, with 24 preschools and primary schools across the country. Together, we are responsible for approximately 8,000 children and students and employ around 1,000 staff. We started our first school in 1993 and have been part of AcadeMedia, the largest education company in the Nordics, since 2008. Vittra is a socially engaged preschool and primary school where children and students learn about themselves and the world. With us, conscious children and students are formed, equipped with the right tools and knowledge to create a better and more sustainable society. We achieve this through our unique pedagogical approach based on three pillars: conscious learning, brave culture, and clear structure.
Vittra Örebro has been a newly established school operation since August 2022, serving 150 students in grades 6–9. The school is located at Karlsgatan 30, centrally in Örebro. For the 2026–2027 school year, we are looking for a qualified Social Studies (SO) teacher for grades 6–9.
At Vittra, you will encounter a workplace characterized by strong commitment, high quality, and plenty of joy. You will work in an stimulating and secure environment, building close pedagogical relationships between adults and children. At Vittra, we have high expectations of ourselves and our collaborative work, which is rooted in collegial learning and the individual needs of the student. Together, we build a secure and challenging environment where everyone—both students and adults—can develop based on their own prerequisites.
At Vittra, we believe in conscious learning, a brave culture, and education grounded in society, where students engage with the world outside school in various ways. Current social issues are woven into our teaching, and we explore what happens beyond the school walls. This happens, for example, through editorial work and projects linked to local and global goals. It is important to us that students practice and learn to think for themselves, express themselves, and make a difference.
We are looking for you who are a certified and qualified teacher in Social Studies (SO) for grades 6–9. Together with future colleagues and new students, you want to contribute to a positive school culture at Vittra Örebro.
You need to be a secure and clear leader with a focus on student goal achievement. We see you as a teacher who builds your teaching on close pedagogical relationships with students and who is passionate about meeting students in their individual development based on their experiences, prior knowledge, needs, and abilities. The position includes homeroom teacher responsibilities.
At Vittra, we strive for an interdisciplinary approach that gives students a holistic view and understanding of how different subjects and reality are connected. To facilitate such meaning-making regarding learning and development, you will belong to a work team. It is therefore important that you are interested in participating in and contributing to collegial learning.
We offer a developing work environment with many career paths. Vittra has an educational program consisting of various external courses as well as internal training, including a leadership development program for work team leaders and networking meetings for lead teachers. As a teacher with us, you become part of 23 other Vittra schools in central and southern Sweden with a clear and common working method. This provides opportunities to influence both the school's and your own development.
If you want to know more about Vittra, you can visit our website, www.vittra.se (http://www.vittra.se), or the school's own page, vittra.se/orebro (https://vittra.se/orebro/).
