Our vision and operations

The Education Department is responsible for the municipality's childcare and educational activities from preschool and leisure center to preschool class, primary school, and adapted school. Our vision is that Askersund Municipality should offer every child and youth a preschool and school that makes the future one for all. A future filled with opportunities. All students should also remember their school time as safe, fun, and educational. The various operations of the Education Department work actively with school improvement in collaboration with the University of Gothenburg.

Environment and workplace

The North School Area consists of two schools, F-6: Rönneshytta and Åsbro. Rönneshytta School has approximately 140 students and is located next to a lake in a beautiful environment with nature close by. We work collegially and systematically to develop and improve our teaching. We are looking for someone who enjoys being challenged and can be a secure adult alongside the school's students.

Job Responsibilities

You will plan, conduct, and follow up on teaching. You are a clear leader who takes responsibility for all students' learning and development. You inspire knowledge and create good and safe learning environments. You are careful to guide your students and create trusting relationships. You have a working style that gives your students the opportunity to influence their schooling.

The work includes continuously following up on students' knowledge development and shaping your teaching accordingly. As a mentor, you care about good relationships with guardians and collaborate with colleagues, student health services, and management.

The upcoming school year involves teaching in preschool class in a work team F-3, but in the future, it will also involve teaching and mentoring at the intermediate level.

Qualifications

Qualification in mathematics is meritorious.

The position requires a Category B driver's license and access to a car.
