Your assignment

As a server room technician, you belong to the Technology Department. The department is responsible for providing FRA with the technical systems needed for operations. The department develops, maintains, and deploys new technical systems as well as managing the operation and maintenance of existing systems.

In the role of server room technician, you will be responsible for contact with suppliers, users, and project managers. Furthermore, the role involves servicing the server halls and handling material replacement/replacement. You may also be responsible for training other technicians.

In the role of server room technician, your main tasks are to perform technical coordination, primarily by:

• Receiving needs/orders, executing, and providing feedback
• Planning and following up on work related to our server halls
• Working with assembly and installation of technical equipment
• Reviewing capacity optimization and decommissioning in the server halls
• Supervising and documenting the work
• Assembling, cabling, supervising, and documenting equipment in the server halls
• Property projects

Heavy lifting occurs regularly in the position. Cable pulling at heights may also occur.

You can

We are looking for you who have:

• A high school diploma
• Worked as a technician for a couple of years in a similar environment
• Good computer skills
• Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing
• The ability to easily absorb technical documentation in English
• Category B driver's license – travel for work occurs

We consider it meritorious if you have:

• Vocational education with a technical focus
• Practical experience with server room infrastructure
• Network, copper, and fiber installations
• Documentation systems
• Electrical experience
• Experience with Agile working methods

The workplace is located near Drottningholm, approx. 10 minutes from Brommaplan. Swedish citizenship is a requirement as employment at FRA involves placement in a security class. Before employment, you will undergo a security clearance in accordance with the provisions of the Security Protection Act. Employment entails an obligation to be mobilized in wartime.
