About the Company

BOS Power is an established and growing technology company with a strong foothold in the Nordic region. The company is the general agent for Rolls-Royce Power Systems and works exclusively with their product range, focusing on the MTU engine brand. The operations include service, overhaul, and installation of engines for applications such as marine propulsion, standby power, and critical infrastructure including defense, healthcare, telecommunications, and energy supply.

As part of the Norwegian Bertel O. Steen group, they combine the flexibility and short decision-making paths of a smaller company with the security of belonging to a stable and growing conglomerate. In Sweden, the work is based out of a modern and well-equipped workshop in Jordbro, while cooperation within the Nordic region is close and developmental.

About the Role

As a Traveling Service Technician, you will have a varied and practical role where travel and overnight stays are a natural part of the job. You will be based at the workshop in Jordbro but will spend most of your time working on-site with customers throughout Sweden, and occasionally in the Nordic countries.

The work involves servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing engines in the field, as well as component replacements and technical work. When not working on-site, you will participate in workshop activities where full overhauls and major engine works are carried out.

You will receive comprehensive onboarding as well as recurring training at the company’s own training centers, covering both engine and electrical systems. All specific product training is included in the role.

We are looking for someone who

• has practical experience working with engines. It does not matter what type of engines – passenger cars, trucks, construction machinery, marine, or hobby engines. What is important is that you have previously worked mechanically with engines, performed troubleshooting, and used tools.
• are technically curious, self-motivated, and have a genuine interest in mechanics.
• enjoy dynamic work, are flexible, and have no problem traveling for work.
• are physically fit and comfortable working in varying environments.
• speak fluent Swedish and have basic knowledge of English.
